ABSTRACT
By the order Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Most of medical school in Japan will start teaching oriental medicine (traditional medicines). I have been teaching kampo medicine at Kurume University for last four years. Then, I carried out survey to reveal how students recognize kampo medicine. Based on this survey, students start recognizing and understanding oriental medicine, and I believe that future of oriental medicine is very promising. In my talk, I will also summarize students' understanding in school of Pharmacy, current position of oriental medicine in Japanese medical school education as well as other countries' one, and its future.
