Effects of interlocking nail on the treatment of femoral fractures / 中国基层医药

ABSTRACT
Objective To study the effect of self-locking spinning insertion nail on the treatment of femoral diaphyseal fracture.Methods 60 cases of variant femoral diaphyseal fractures were treated with internaI fixation by self-locking spinning insertion nail.Early function exercise was permitted without weight bearing.Results All cases were followed up for 8 weeks to 3 years.The results were excellent in 39 cases,good in 18 and fair in 3,and the excellent and good rate was 95%.No malunion.or nail breakage was found.The knee function was recovered completely.Conclusion Self-locking spinning insertion nail has advantages of small incision,less trauma,simple manipulation,fast recovery and easy removal in the treatment of femoral diaphyseal fracture,which provides reliable effects.
