Clinical Study on the Effect of YiYu Decoction plus Maprotiline in the Treatment of Depressive Neurosis / 国际中医中药杂志

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo study the efficacy and side effects of YiYu Decoction plus maprotiline in the treatment of depressive neurosis. MethodsAll included patients were randomly assigned into treatment group (treated by Yiyu Decoction plus maprotiline) and control group (treated by maprotiline only). The therapeutic effects and side effects were evaluated by HAMD, HAMA and TESS scale at 1, 2, 4, and 6 weeks before and after treatment. ResultsThe recovery rate of the treatment group was 63.6%, higher than 45.5% in the control group. But there was no significant difference between the two groups (x2=0.825, P＞0.05).The effective rate of the treatment group (81.8%) was close to that of the control group　(77.3%). CondusionYiYu decoction is effective in treating depression with little side effect.
