Effect of family visiting on self-nursing behavior of patients with carcinoma of rectum and abdominal enterostomy / 中国实用护理杂志

ABSTRACT

Objective To stuay the family and social problems exsted in discharge patients with carcinoma of rectum and abdominal enterostomy and the effect of family visiting.MethodsWe executed family visiting to 36 discharge patients with carcinoma of rectum and abdominal enterostomy.The healthcondition of patients and understanding of related knowledge and technique were evaluated and the following health education and psychological treatment were given to them.Results The effect of family visiting and health education after 4 months was greatly alleviated compared with that of the first family visiting (P<0.05).Conclusion The family visiting and health education for discharge patients with carcinoma of rectum and abdominal enterostomy could promote patients'rehabilitation and self-nursing ability,thus to reduce incidence of complications and increase their life quality.
