Results of parasitic worms preventive in grade schooler at Yen Hung district Quang Ninh province

ABSTRACT

Feces tests, pupils’ interview and parents’ interview of 3rd grade pupils of 5 primary schools in Yen Hung district, Quang Ninh province were conducted. The percentages of worm infection were 90-100%, percentages of ascarid infection were 79.1%, hairworm 62.4%, and hookworm 4.3%. KAP interview of 279 pupils and 264 parents showed the high proportions of pupils and parents known causes, harmful effects, and preventive methods of worm infections. The rate of serial worming was 98.4%
