ABSTRACT
Objective:
To observe the effect of TGF-β1 on collagen degradation of rabbit keratocytes.Methods:
The activity of collagen degradation of keratocytes with three-dime nsional culture in collagen gel was determined with spectrophotometer.Results:
TGF-β inhibited collagen degradation of keratocytes in dose-dependent manner.Conclusion:
The present result suggests that TGF-β1 has the inhibitory effect on collagen degradation of keratocytes and may help in the treatment of corneal ulceration.
