A case-matched study of fasting plasma glucose (FBG), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HIDL), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), insulin (FIN), C-peptide (FCP) and insulin sensitivity index (ISI) were detected in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with and without hypertensiorn.

Results:

Twenty patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated hypertension had higher TG、 FINS and FCP, lower HDL and ISI levels than 20 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus without hypertension.
