ABSTRACT
Objective:
To explore the relationship between serum levels of carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) and hemodynamic changes in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF).Methods:
A total of 110 CHF patients with clear diagnosis, admitted in our hospital from 2013-01 to 2014-06 were studied. According to NYHA classiifcation, the CHF patients were divided into 3 groups NYHA I-II group,n=40, NYHA III group,n=38 and NYHA IV group,n=32. There was a Control group including 40 subjects from healthy physical examination. The levels of CA125, B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were recorded at admission, discharge and 3 months follow-up period; the relationship between CA125, BNP and LEVF were studied in CHF patients. Results:
①In CHF patients, the levels of CA125 and BNP increased with NYHA classification by NYHA I-II group > NYHA III > group > NYHA IV group accordingly,PConclusion:
Serum level of CA125 is positively related to the severity of CHF, it might be used as a serum predictor for prognosis in CHF patients.
