ABSTRACT
Objective To study the influence of economic level on nutrition intake and status in adult. Methods The survey of income level, and nutrition intake and status of adults in 2000 in the city and rural area of Hunan province was carried out, and was compared with the data of the first survey in 1991. Results With the income increasing, the intake of protein,calcium,iron, retinal EQ and riboflavin increased from 1991 to 2000. In the population with low and middle income, the inadequate intake of calcium, retinal EQ and riboflavin was common.
