Analysis of Medication Compliance and Influencing Factors of Secondary Prevention in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease / 中国药房

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:

To investigate the current status, the influencing factors and the countermeasures of medication compliance of secondary prevention in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).

METHODS:

The medication compliance and influencing factors of secondary prevention in CHD patients were analyzed retrospectively.

RESULTS:

Of the 269 cases investigated, only 28 (10.41%) showed good medication compliance. The main influencing factors of medication compliance were annual per capita incomes, discharging time from hospital, self-care ability, medication knowledge, drug costs, knowledge on coronary heart disease, and adverse drug reactions etc.

CONCLUSION:

The medication compliance is poor in secondary prevention in CHD patients. It is the responsibility of both pharmacists and physicians to improve the medication compliance in the secondary prevention in CHD patients.
