ABSTRACT
Objective:
To investigate the evaluation,recommendations of humanities education among vocational nursing students in order to deepen the reform of vocational nursing education and teaching,and provide reference for strengthening humanities education.Methods:
The senior and sophomore students are enrolled in the investigation because they are either becoming graduates or intern nurses into clinical practice.A self-designed questionnaire survey is carried out on their recognition and attitude towards humanities curriculum,the setting up of humanities curriculum,and college humanities education.Results:
95.65 percent of vocational nursing students considered it necessary to set up humanities and social sciences courses,since humanities courses play an important role in setting up a good professional ethics of nursing,expanding their knowledge horizon,enhancing their sense of social responsibility,fostering interpersonal communication skills,shaping a sounder personality.However,current teaching faculty and humanities curriculum are not satisfying with a low satisfaction degree of 4.35 percent.Conclusion:
The current quality of humanities education for nursing majors is far from satisfaction,and timely reforms are in need to promote its further development.
