Investigation on Status Quo of Antibacterial Used by Rural Doctors in Shaanxi Province / 中国药房

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:

To probe into the situation of antibacterial used by rural doctors.

METHODS:

100 rural doctors in Shaanxi province were investigated by self-designed questionnaire and visited.

RESULTS:

94.3% of rural doctors were familiar with Guidelines for Clinical Utilization of Antibacterial to some extent; 34.5% didn’t know MRSA and 4.6% didn’t prescribe antibacterial for common cold patient routinely. Rural doctors were badly in need of the knowledge about rational use of antibacterial and ADR remedy.

CONCLUSION:

It is necessary to train rural doctors about rational drug use and ADR remedy so as to improve the level of antibacterial drug therapy in rural areas.
