ABSTRACT
Although much studies have been done on the in vitro activity of Interleukin-2 (IL-2) littlework had been made to try to prolong the half life-span of IL-2 in the circulation and thento study the alterations in the in vivo immune response. The small pumps able to feed definiteamounts of IL-2 to maintain sufficent amount of the lymphokine for as long as 10 days wereused.During this time the production of antibody and the cytotoxicity against tumor cells wereassayed. The results showed that IL-2 has no evident effect on the immune response tested invivo and some of the reasons are discussed.
