ABSTRACT

Objective:

To examine the correlation between the self-worth and mental health of middle school students .

Methods:

The Scale of Self-worth for Young Students and the SCL-90 were admemestered to a sample of 699 middle school students.

Results:

Analysis showed significant negative correlation between self-worth and the SCL-90 and mental health of middle school students,the SCL-90 scores of students with high self-worth were significantly different from that of students with low self-worth.

Conclusion:

The higher the self-worth of middle school students is ,the better their mental health is.
