ABSTRACT
Purpose:
To determine breast carcinoma detection rate of a new mammographic computer-aided system (CAD) in order to assess its clinical usefulness.Methods:
467 cases of breast carcinoma proved by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. All the mammograms of the cases were reviewed by two radiologists working as a team and then analyzed by the CAD-system. The sensitivity for breast carcinoma detection (masses or calcification) was calculated respectively, and the results compared.Results:
