The Value of Transvaginal Color Doppler Ultrasonography (TVCDU) in the Diagnosis of the Gestational Choriocarcinoma / 实用放射学杂志

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of TVCDU in the diagnosis and followed-up of the gestational choriocarcinoma . Methods TVCDU and related clinical data of 21 patients suffered from the gestational choriocarcinoma during May 2003 and July 2004 were restrospectively analysed.Results The sonographic manifestations of choriocarcinoma could be classified into 5 types;(1)The uterine became larger than the normal , the local myometrium was changed into irregular non-echo region which was full of blood testified by CDFI(Color Doppler flow image);(2)The myometrium became nonhomogenity with plenty of blood flow , the resistance index ( RI ) was 0.25~0.47;(3)The abnormal echo emerged in the uterine cavity was not apparent boundary to the myometrium; (4)Neoplasm in the adnexa had relatively obvious blood flow,RI was about 0.4;(5)There was no abnormal echo in pelvic organ. The relation ship between sonographies and HCG first determined was complex. However,the lesions reduced, RI descended during the treatment of chemical therapy, so did the HCG .Conclusion TVCDU plays an important role in the differential diagnosis and the evaluation of curative effects of choriocarcinoma during the course of followed- up.
