ABSTRACT

Objective:To study the correlation between C-myc express io n and clinicopathological characteristics of oromaxillofacial sarcoma. M ethodsC-myc expression was determined by SP method in 37 cases of sarc oma and 14 benign mesenchymal tumors in oral and maxillofacial region. R esultsC-myc expression was detectd in 22 cases (40.54%) of sarcoma and in none of the benign tumor. In sarcoma of gradeⅠ, Ⅱand Ⅲ, the positive r ates of C-myc expression were 16.70%, 30% and 66.67% respectively, and a statis tical significance was only observed in C-myc expression between gradeⅠand Ⅲ( P
