ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the expression of protein kinase C-?(PKC-?)in human ameloblastoma(AB)and its relationship with human telomerase reverse transcriptase(hTERT).Methods:The expression of hTERT mRNA was detected by in situ hybridization and PKC-? protein by immunohistochemistry in 54 cases of AB,7 cases of normal oral mucosa(NOM)and 16 cases of odontogenic keratocyst(OKC).Results:The positive rate of hTERT mRNA in AB,OKC and NOM was 94.4%(51/54),87.5%(14/16)and 14.3%(1/7)(P
