ABSTRACT
The pollen samples of Piper kadsura Ohwi collected from different habitats were studied with a scanning electron microscope(SEM). It was found that the pollen of P.kadsura Ohwi was polytypic, which included boat shaped sulcate pollen grains(about 43.6-57.1%), oblate macroulcerate pollen grains(about 38.6-46.3%) and triclpoid pollen grains (about 4.3-10.1%). Previously, the latter two were mistaken for inaperturate and trichotomosulcate pollen grains under optic microscope.
