ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the value of the use of fibrin glue in radical mastectorny for breast cancer. Method 52 patients with breast cancer were divided randomly into two groups. In one group (27 patients) fibrin glue was used during radical mastectomy, while in the other group (25 patients), fibrin glue was not used. The volume of drainage on the first postoperative day and total volume of drainage after the operation were collected and measured. The fluid accumulation underneath the flap was also observed.
