ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the role of RECK gene in the progression and invasion of prostate carcinoma by evaluating the expression of RECK,MMP-2 and MMP-9 genes in prostate cancer cell strains BPH-1,DU-145,LNCap and PC-3.Methods: The mRNA levels of RECK,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were measured by RT-PCR and the protein level of RECK by Western blot analysis in the above 4 prostate cell lines.Results: The mRNA levels of RECK in DU-145,LNCap and PC-3 cells were obviously lower than those in the benign prostate hyperplasia cell strain BPH-1(P
