Objective To study the association of pulse pressure index(PPI)with insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF-1)and transforming growth factor beta 1(TGF-?1)in aged cases with essential hypertension(EH).Methods To detect serum IGF-1,TGF-?1 and to calculate left ventricular mass index(LVMI)in 160 aged patients with EH.To calculate PPI.Tow groups were divided according to the PPInormal PPI group and high PPI group.Results The levels of IGF-1 in high PPI group were higher than that in normal PPI group(P
