Treatment of 26 cases of Postoperative Gastric Fistula with Self-made Compound Wubei Powder and Gelatin Sponge Plugging / 国际中医中药杂志

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the treatment of postoperative gastric fistula with combined traditional Chinese and western medicine.Methods Altogether 56 cases ofgastric fistula after gastrectomy were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group.The control group was simply treated with conventional western medicine therapy,while treatment group was treated with self-made compound Wubei powder scattered with gelatin sponge plugging in addition to conventional western medicine treatment.Results The effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 96.4% and 64.8% respectively.The effective rate of the treatment group was significant better than the control group (p＜0.01).Conclusion The combined traditional Chinese and western medicine therapy can promote healing of the fistula,reduce pain during the process of surgery shorten the duration of hospitalization,and decrease the cost of treatment.
