ABSTRACT
The activities of adendsirie deaminake (ADA), serum angiotension converting enzyme (ACE;) lysozyme (LYZ), laetie dehydrogenatee(LDB) in seran aad pleural were me astrred in 51 cases with tuber pl effusions and 42 cases; with maligant pteurai ef fusion. The results showed that the activihies of PAD A, PACE, PLYZ in tubenculous pleu raj the effsion were significatly higher than that of malignaat plufal effusion(P0.5). The menoenzymatic seasitiyity of. PADA, PACE-.PLYZ. in diagnosis of tuberculous, pleur effusion, was 88%, 74%, 73.3% respectively. The polyen-zymatic sensitivity of two or three combination for differential diagnosis between tuberculous and malignant pleural effusion was 95% in PADA+PACE, 100% in P'ADA+PACE + PLYZ.' If the ratio of ehzyAatic activity in pleitral fluid to" serum among all'groups was calculated, the sensitivity of PADA+PLYZ ratio for different ntial dikgflosis of-these two kinds of pleural effusion was raised from 81% to 4.11%.
