ABSTRACT

[Objective] To observe the effects of blood-activating and stasis-removing (BASR) herbs on the proliferation and apoptosis of gastric mucosa cells (GMC) in experimental chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) rats. [Methods] CAG rat models were established with comprehensive method and then were given BASR herbs. Argyrophilic protein of nucleolar organizer regions ( AgNOR) count was carried out after silver nitrate staining. The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was examined with immunohistochemical method and apoptosis was detected by in-situ cell-end labeling method.
