Therapeutic Effect of Qianyang Dingxuan Decoction for Hypertension with Yin Deficiency and Yang Hyperactivity / 广州中医药大学学报

ABSTRACT

[Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of Qianyang Dingxuan Decoction (QDD) for hypertension with yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity. QDD is mainly composed of Concha Haliotidis, Ostrea, Os Draconis, Concha Margaritifera Usta, Caulis et Folium Polygoni Multiflori, Radix paenonicae Alba, etc.. [Methods] Sixty cases (Group A) of essential hypertension were treated with QDD and 30 were in positive control group (Group B). Therapentic effect in the two groups were compared. [Results] The total effective rate was 93.3% in Group A and 76.7% in Group B, the difference being significant ( P 0.05). Effect of QDD in relieving symptoms was superior to Group B ( P
