Clinical Observation on Bushen Fuhuo Decoction in Treating Middle-aged and Old Patients with Ischemic Necrosis of Femoral Head / 广州中医药大学学报

ABSTRACT

[ Objective ] To observe the therapeutic effect of Bushen Fuhuo Decoction ( BFD) , a prescription mainly composed of Herba Epimedii, Rhizoma Drynariae, Radix Dipsaci, Radix Notoginseng, Fructus Lycii, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, etc. for non-traumatic ischemic necrosis of the femoral head (INFH) in the middle-aged and old patients. [Methods] Sixty-eight middle-aged and old paients with non-traumatic INFH were treated with BFD for 6 months. One year after treatment, the therapeutic effect was evaluated; blood lipid levels and blood rheological indexes were detected before and after treatment. [Results] Among the cases, 38 were cured, 19 markedly effective, 8 effective, 3 ineffective and the total effective rate was 95.6% .
