Effect of Corticosterone on Morphine-induced Psychomotor Effect and Its Sensitization / 中国心理卫生杂志

ABSTRACT

Objective:

To explore the role of corticosterone in morphine-induced acute psychomotor activity and behavioral sensitization.

Methods:

32 male SD rats were divided into four groups. Rats were intraperitoneally given saline, morphine, corticosterone and corticosterone/morphine separately. The horizontal locomotor activity was recorded for 60min by the computer trace system automatically. The locomotor activity was measured in every two days for total seven times.

Results:

The corticosterone/morphine group showed significant morphine-induced acute psychomotor effect comparing with the saline group(saline group 7175?676, corticosterone/morphine group 10365?503,P
