ABSTRACT

Objective:

To evaluate the mechanical properties of Ti-Zr alloy components made from laser solid forming.

Methods:

Controlled by Ti-Zr alloy made from normal dental casting,the tensile strength,yield strength and the elongations of each material were detected.

Results:

The tensile strength,yield strength and elongation of Ti-Zr alloy made from laser were 940 MPa,890 MPa and(7.5%,) while Ti-Zr alloy made from normal dental casting were 795 MPa,657 MPa and 22%.

Conclusion:

The tensile strength and yield strength of Ti-Zr alloy made from laser solid forming are better than dental Ti-Zr casting.Its elongation is less but fulfil oral prosthodontics.
