ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of the Qingfei decoction in the acute upper respiratory tract infections.METHODS From Jan 2004 to Sep 2006,there were 68 cases with acute upper respiratory tract infections treated with chinese medicines.The patients were divided into 2 groups36 cases were treated with Qingfei decoction,32 cases were treated with Shuanghuanglian granules as a control.Both of the groups were treated for 5 days,the clinical symptoms such as fever,cough and sore throat were used to evaluate the efficacy of both groups.RESULTS Both of the groups were effective;the effective rate was 88.9% and 75.0% in the Qingfei group and in the control group,respectively.There was significant difference between 2 groups(P
