ABSTRACT
Objective:
The theses of postgraduates have their own features and needs for publication. This study investigated the time used at each stage of the production of postgraduates' theses and the influencing factors of their publication. Methods:
We conducted a questionnaire investigation among 173 postgraduates on the date of their enrollment, time of theme determination, duration of production, time of submission, and expected time of publication. Results:
The theses of the 173 postgraduates were written mainly under the guidance of their supervisors and seniors, with the production duration of 1-9 months. The time between submission and publication was 1-10 months. Conclusion:
The limited channels of guidance for postgraduates' theses writing affect the quality of the papers.Lengthened production and suspended contribution conspire to delay the publication of their theses.
