ABSTRACT
Objective:
To investigate the protective effects of Cordyceps sinensis from Tibet and Qinghai on acute renal injury in-duced by gentamicin sulphate ( GM) .Methods:
The rat model of acute renal injury induced by GM was established. The biochemical indicators including blood urea nitrogen ( BUN) and serum creatinine ( Scr) in serum and NAG enzyme and urine total protein in urine were detected. HE staining was used to observe the pathologic changes in kidney. Results:
Compared with those in the model group, the levels of BUN and Scr in serum and NAG enzyme and urine total protein in urine were significantly reduced in the Cordyceps sinen-sis groups, and kidney cells necrosis was improved in the Cordyceps sinensis groups at low, medium and high dose (P0.05).Conclusion:
Cordyceps sinensis from Qinghai and Tibet both have protective effect on acute kidney injury induced by GM in rats, and the difference between them is not remarkable.
