ABSTRACT

Objective:

To study the effect of Azone on the transdermal kinetics of Resibufogenin from toad venom.

Methods:

The transdermal constants of Resibufogenin var hairless mice skin are determined with various concentration of Azone as transdermal enhancers.

Results:

The transdermal constants are 81.25, 114.92, 169.63 , 196.31, 208.27, 261.35 (?g/cm 2?h) while the concentration of Azone are 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, respectively.

Conclusion:

Azone can enhance Resibufogenin penetrate skin and the optimum concentration of Azone is 10%.
