AIM:

To evaluate the effects of long-term low-dose aspirin on intraoperative and preoperative hyphema of laser peripheral iridectomy(LPI). ·

METHODS:

The included 63 cases (63 eyes) with primary angle closure glaucoma went to our hospital from January 2014 to June 2017 were divided into two groupsGroup A was control group and Group B was study group,according to whether taken aspirin. The hyphema was compared between the two groups. ·

RESULTS:

There was no significant difference between the two groups in intraoperative and postoperative hyphema (P>0.05). No serious hyphema occurred. ·

CONCLUSION:

LPI can be performed safely without stopping aspirin.
