ABSTRACT
Infantile cholestasis disease is a common liver disease in infancy (including neonatal period). It is caused by intra - or extrahepatic factors. First of all,a differential diagnosis of biliary atresia and non - biliary atresia intrahepatic cholestasis needs to be made. The diagnosis should be made according to clinical manifestation, laboratory test results, imaging results and liver pathology. Numerous etiologies can cause intrahepatic cholestasis. Genetic factors are research focus now. Therapy on the etiologies is an effective therapeutic measure.
