Research progress of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio in atherosclerosis / 医学研究生学报

ABSTRACT

Atherosclerosis ( AS) is a common pathological process of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.There are nine kinds of theories on the atherosclerosis pathogenesis, including lipid invasion theory, oxidative stress theory, etc.In recent years, the inflammatory mechanism of atherosclerosis has grasped more attentions.As representative of the inflammatory factors, neu-trophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) has been recently proven as an important prognostic factor of coronary artery disease, and the rela-tive researches in the field of cerebrovascular disease are also focused.This article reviews the clinical research of NLR in atherosclerosis.
