Preliminary Observation on the Influence of Traditional Chinese Medicine Injection Adjuvant Chemoradio-therapy on the Quality of Life of Tumor Patients / 中国药师

ABSTRACT

Objective:

To explore the influence of traditional Chinese medicine injection adjuvant chemoradiotherapy on the quality of life of cancer patients.

Methods:

Totally 76 cases of cancer patients were selection from PLA 307 hospital and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 38 ones in each group. The control group was given chemoradiation, and the observa-tion group was given Aidi injection or Shenqi Fuzheng injection intravenously additionally. The treatment course was 4 weeks. Before and after the treatment, cartesian score (KPS), simplified Chinese quality of life assessment (QLQ C30) were used to evaluate the quality of life.

Results:

After the treatment, the KPS was higher than that before the treatment, while QLQ C30 score decreased and was better than that in the control group (P<0. 05).

Conclusion:

The traditional Chinese medicine injection adjuvant chemoradio-therapy is more beneficial to the quality of life of cancer patients than chemoradiortherapy only.
