ABSTRACT
Sleep-related hypermotor epilepsy (SHE) is a kind of focal epilepsy characterized by "hypermotor", often accompanied by asymmetrical tetanic or dystonic posture. It used to be called nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy. It mainly occurs in sleep and is often misdiagnosed as nightmare. For a long time, it is considered as benign epilepsy, but there are also related articles about the severity of the disease. In addition, some special symptoms may have a negative impact on the quality of life of SHE patients. This review will focus on the incidence, impact and clinical diagnosis and treatment of SHE.
