ABSTRACT
Objective: To study the electrochemical behavior of bupivacaine hydrochloride and to establish an electrochemical method for determination of bupivacaine hydrochloride. Methods: The electrochemical behavior of bupivacaine hydrochloride was studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV), and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) was used to determine the contents of bupivacaine hydrochloride. Results: In a 0.01 mol/L tetrabutylammonium Perchlorate (TBAP) buffer solution, the oxidization peak current on the platinum electrode in the bupivacaine hydrochloride solution was in a good linear relation over a concentration range of 1.0×10-5-2.0×10-4 mol/L, with the r value being 0.995 8, and a detection limit of 1×10 -5 mol/L (by DPV). Conclusion: Our method is accurate, easy to perform, and with good repeatability, and it can be used to determine bupivacaine hydrochloride content in bupivacaine hydrochloride raw medicine.
