A new phenolic glycoside from rhizomes of Sinacalia tangutica / 中草药

ABSTRACT

Objective:

To study the chemical constituents from the rhizomes of Sinacalia tangutica.

Methods:

The compounds were separated and purified by D101 macroporous resin, silica gel, and ODS column chromatography. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods including 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, HSQC, HMBC, and HR-ESI-MS.

Results:

One new phenolic glycoside was isolated from S. tangutica, and identified as 5-hydroxyeugenol-4-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→6)-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1).

Conclusion:

Compound 1 is a new compound named singuticoside.
