ABSTRACT
Objective:
To study the nitrogenous compounds of Sargassum pallidum. Methods:
The compounds were separated and purified by D101 macroporous adsorptive resins, silica gel chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 chromatography, ODS column chromatography, and HPLC methods. Their structures were identified on the basis of physical and chemical properties and spectroscopic data (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and MS).Results:
Ten compounds were isolated from S. pallidum and identified as (-)-anabellamide (1), (-)-trichosanatine (2), (-)-aurantiamide acetate (3), riboflavin (4), β-adenosine (5), 2'-Ο-methoxyluridine (6), cyclo (L-Ala-L-Pro) (7), thymidine (8), 1-(β-D-ribofuranosyl)-1H-1, 2, 4-triazone (9), and 2, 3-dihydro-4 (1H)-quinolone (10).Conclusion:
Compounds 1, 2, 4-7, and 9 are isolated from the genus Sargassum (Turn.) C. Ag. for the first time.
