Two new steroidal alkaloids from bulbs of Fritillaria pallidiflora / 中草药

ABSTRACT

Objective:

To investigate the chemical constituents in the bulbs of Fritillaria pallidiflora collected from Xinjiang province, China.

Methods:

Compounds 1-4 were separated and purified by column chromatographies with silica gel, preparative TLC. Their chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic (MS, NMR, etc) methods.

Results:

Four compounds, yibeirine (1), yibeisine (2), 2'-methoxyseselin (3), and 1-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(2S,3S,4R,8Z)-2-[(2'R)-(2'-hydroxydocosanoyl) amido]-1,3,4-octadecanetriol-8-ene (4), were isolated from cyclohexane fraction of 80% aqueous ethanol extract from the bulbs of F. pallidiflora.

Conclusion:

Compounds 1 and 2 are new steroidal alkaloids.
