Chemical constituents in ethyl acetate fraction of Artemisia selengensis / 中草药

ABSTRACT

Objective:

To study the chemical constituents in the ethyl acetate extract from Artemisia selengensis.

Methods:

The chemical constitunents were isolated by various column chromatographic methods. The structures of the compounds were elucidated on the basis of physiochemical properties and spectral analyses.

Results:

Eleven compounds were identified as trans-resveratrol (1), trans-cinnamic acid (2), caffeic acid (3), chlorogenic acid (4), gallic acid (5), luteolin (6), isorhamnetin (7), 7-methoxy coumarin (8), quercetin (9), acteoside (10), and 7-methoxy-4'-hydroxyisoflavone (11).

Conclusion:

Compounds 1-11 are isolated from A. selengensis for the first time.
