A new iridoid from leaves of Syringa oblata / 中草药

ABSTRACT

Objective:

To study the chemical constituents from the leaves of Syringa oblata.

Methods:

The compound was isolated by silica gel column chromatography and HPLC, and its structure was elucidated by means of spectral analyses.

Results:

A new iridoid was isolated and identified as 1β, 3α-diethoxy-7-oxo-8β-methyl-1, 3, 4, 4a, 5, 6, 7, 7a-octahydro-cyclopenta [c] pyran-4β-carboxylic- p-hydroxyphenethyl ester (1).

Conclusion:

Compound 1 is a new compound, named syringopicrogenin F.
