Ethyl Acetate-soluble Chemical Constituents from the Leaves of Callicarpa kwangtungensis Chun / 中国药学杂志

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:

To study the chemical ethyl acetate-soluble constituents of the leaves of Callicarpa kwangtungensis Chun.

METHODS:

The compounds were isolated and purified by column chromatography using silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, ODS and MPLC. The structures of the compounds were identified according to their physicochemical properties and spectroscopic methods.

RESULTS:

Thirteen compounds were isolated and identified as 5,7,2’,6’-tetrahydroxyflavone(1), 2,3-dehydrosilychristin(2), silychristin A(3), dihydroquercetin(4), syringaresinol(5), medioresinol(6),(7R,8S)-3,5’-dimethoxy-4’,7-epoxy-8,3’-neolignane -5,9,9’-triol(7),(2S,3R)-methyl-7-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-(hydroxymethyl)-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-5-carboxylate(8), curcasinlignan B(9), vanillin(10), 19α-hydroxyursolic acid(11), 2α,3β,19α,23-tetrahydroxy-12-ene-28-oleanolic acid(12), and euscaphic acid(13).

CONCLUSION:

All these compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
