ABSTRACT
Congenital heart disease(CHD)with pulmonary hypertension(PH)is one of the intractable cardiovascular diseases, and its pathogenesis is not completely clear.Hydrogen sulfide(H 2S)is the third gas signal molecule after nitric oxide(NO)and carbon monoxide(CO). It can be synthesized in mammals.More and more studies have shown that H 2S can regulate pulmonary vascular remodeling through vasodilation, anti-apoptosis, antioxidant stress, anti-inflammation and angiogenesis, so as to protect children with CHD complicated with PH.In recent years, the research focus in this field has shifted to the development of new H 2S donors.This article mainly describes H 2S and its regulatory mechanism in CHD with PH, and introduces the new progress of H 2S donor therapy.
