ABSTRACT

Objective:To deep explore the experience of nursing students after psychiatric nursing clinical practice.Methods:Reflection reports of 260 nursing students were analyzed by content analysis and themes were extracted form the reports.Results:Three themes emerged form the datas including professional emotion, professional skills (knowledge and communication) and professional quality.Conclusions:Psychiatric nursing clinical practice plays a positive effect on the students study. It can build the students′ cognition of psychiatric disease. It can make students think deeply of nurse-patient relationship and attach importance to the communication with patients. It also deepens the understanding of nursing knowledge and promotes combination of knowledge and practice.
