ABSTRACT

Objective:

Diabetic foot osteomyelitis (DFO) is not only a special and challenging problem in diabetic foot infection, but also an important reason for amputation and disability of patients with diabetic foot infection.The diagnosis of DFO usually requires the combination of information of medical history and physical examination, serum inflammatory markers and imaging findings.The results of bone tissue culture and bone histopathology are recognized as the gold standards for the diagnosis of DFO.At present, there is no optimal treatment plan and process for DFO.Comprehensive, individualized treatment and multidisciplinary cooperation should be given on the basis of full assessment to ensure the best treatment effect and improve the quality of life of patients with DFO.
