Update of the Chinese guidelines for the imaging application in cerebrovascular diseases / 中华神经科杂志

ABSTRACT

In order to apply the new imaging technology to the clinic in time, Chinese Society of Neurology and Chinese Stroke Society updated the Chinese guidelines for the imaging application in cerebrovascular diseases. The application of non-contrast computerized tomography in prediction of early hematoma expansion, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of white matter lesions of presumed vascular origin, clinical application value of vessel wall MRI, susceptibility weighted imaging in early diagnosis of various bleeding and thrombus and so on are introduced in the updated guidelines. Some of the techniques with clinical application prospects, such as arterial spin labeling, are also introduced in the updated guidelines, aiming to keep pace with the times, keep updating, and better serve the clinic.
