Distribution and seasonal changes of Mycoplasma pneumoniae in school-age children / 公共卫生与预防医学

ABSTRACT
Objective To study the distribution and seasonal changes of Mycoplasma pneumonia in school-age children. Methods In this study, a retrospective study was conducted. 536 school-age pneumonia patients diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2020 were selected as the research objects. Through the mycoplasma detection of samples, 123 patients were infected with mycoplasma. The general information of Mycoplasma infection and non mycoplasma infection and the differences between infection seasons were compared, and the results of 23SrRNA nucleic acid detection of different throat swabs were compared The general information and the difference between the infection seasons. Results The age of Mycoplasma pneumonia (t=4.821, P=0.000) was significantly higher than that of non-mycoplasma infection patients, and there was no significant difference in gender and body mass index between the two groups (P> 0.05); the differences of Mycoplasma infection in spring, summer, autumn and winter were statistically significant (χ2=36.012, P=0.000). There were statistically significant differences in 23S rRNA mutations among different ages, genders (χ2=40.485, P=0.000) and seasons (χ2=13.142, P=0.004), but there was no significant difference in BMI among different patients based on the 23SrRNA detected results (P>0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of patients with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection, it is recommended to pay more attention to the use of macrolide drugs for male and older patients among school-age children as well as the spring season with high infection.
